South-East Queensland - Additional Fair Work Act Information Seminars
Following the success of our Fair Work Act Information Sessions conducted throughout Queensland earlier in the year, registration is now open for additional training sessions to be held in the Brisbane area during November. Registrations are now being accepted for sessions on Tuesday, 17 November 2009 (at Fitzy's Loganholme) and Thursday, 19 November 2009 (at Norths Leagues & Services Club, Kallangur). Our earlier information sessions on the Fair Work Act 2009 gave an overview of the Fair Work system. We will see all Federal Pre-Reform Awards and NAPSAs (other than true Enterprise Awards) cease to apply from 31 December 2009, and be replaced by Modern Federal Awards from 1 January 2010. Some several thousand Awards/NAPSAs will be reduced to around 120 Modern Awards (at last count). In light of the fact that we now have more understanding of the arrangements/provisions of many Modern Awards and building on our successful format utilized for our earlier "Fair Work Act” sessions, we will conduct our updated Fair Work Act Information Seminars covering in detail the following key topics:
There will be hand outs on each topic as well as discussions on strategic considerations where necessary.

Following the popularity of our Fair Work Act Information Sessions which were conducted throughout Queensland during May to August, we will be offering further information sessions in the Brisbane area in November.
